Baked Camembert with your favorite topping
A fantastic brunch idea or appetizer before dinner! There are so many ways to enjoy it, but this version is my favorite. I like following versions : with grapes and rosemary and balsamico, with grapes and figs and honey or with nuts and cranberry sauce! You should definitely try them all out :)
Ingredients :
- 1 camembert
- 2 garlic cloves
- 250 gr sweet grapes (if possible seedless)
- 2 figs
- 1 thyme branch (rosemary also nice!)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamico dressing
Time :
- Prepare : 5 minutes
- Cook : 15 minutes
Method :
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Remove the plastic packaging and arrange the Camembert back in its wooden box . We add it in the baking dish next to the favorite toppings (here - grapes, figs - washed, dried and cut in smaller pieces).
- Cut a deep crosshatch pattern on the top of the cheese.
- Insert the cut leaves of one branch of thyme and the sliced garlic cloves into the camembert holes.
- Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil the cheese and the grapes.
- Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, and serve it straight away whilst it is still hot and creamy.
- Goes perfectly with walnut-raisins bread.
